2x Positions Available

 

  • Part-time 0.4FTE fixed term (ending December 2026, with possibility of ongoing)
  • Full-time 1.0FTE fixed term (ending December 2026, with possibility of ongoing) 

The Junior School is a community of approximately 400 boys and their parents, and over 50 staff.  Being the point of entry for many boys, the Junior School is an integral component of the wider School community.  For this reason, we enjoy the support, facilities and sense of pride evident across the whole School.  Following the completion of an extensive building project, three new learning centres were completed in 2018.  The Lower Junior, Middle Junior and Upper Junior accommodates two streams of classes from Pre-Primary to Year 3 and three streams from Year 4 to Year 6.

Hale School is seeking applications from 2 enthusiastic and dynamic education professionals for Education Assistant roles in our Junior School in 2026. Our Education Assistants work alongside classroom teachers and learning support staff to implement learning adjustments and provide guidance for students with a diverse range of additional needs.

 Education Assistants work across the three Learning Centres depending on student needs.  

The successful applicants will:

  • work in the classroom and other teaching/learning areas with individual students or small groups of students under the supervision of a teacher.
  • have experience of a range of strategies to support the learning of students experiencing learning difficulties and social emotional needs.
  • work in a team with the classroom teacher, learning support teachers and psychologist.
  • be flexible and willing to work collaboratively.
  • be able to accept direction and work under limited supervision.
  • be confident in the use of common MS Office software applications.
  • be highly organised, have strong interpersonal, communication and literacy skills.
  • have a firm commitment to independent schooling and be in sympathy with the School’s values and its Anglican traditions.
  • have a current Working with Children Check.
  • Preferably have a Cert IV in Education Support.
