About the Role
Frederick Irwin Anglican School is seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing and Events Officer to play a pivotal role in promoting the School’s brand, strengthening community engagement, and supporting enrolment growth.
Reporting directly to the Business Manager, the Marketing and Events Officer supports the delivery of marketing, communications, events, alumni relations and publications across the School. Day‑to‑day task allocation will be provided by the Marketing and Events Coordinator.
This role assists with the coordination and implementation of activities that contribute to the effective operation of the School and help foster positive relationships with students, families, staff, alumni and the broader community.
The position requires a proactive and organised team member who can manage multiple tasks, collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and support the consistent representation of the School in a positive and professional manner.
This is fixed-term part-time (0.6FTE) position to cover Long Service Leave.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing and Communications

Assist with day-to-day marketing activities and administrative tasks

Support the preparation of marketing materials and content

Assist with drafting media releases and general communications

Support the design and production of print and digital promotional materials

Assist with uploading and scheduling digital content across platforms

Support the coordination of photography and videography for marketing, events and social media

Ensure materials follow established brand guidelines
Community Relations and Events

Assist with the organisation and delivery of school, family and community events

Support event setup, pack down and general logistics

Assist with Open Days, school tours and promotional activities

Provide support during community engagement activities and events

Assist with coordinating event resources, bookings and suppliers
Alumni Relations

Assist with alumni activities and events

Support the coordination of reunions and alumni engagement initiatives

Assist with maintaining alumni records and communications
Publications, Website and Digital Platforms

Assist with compiling and formatting newsletters and publications

Upload and update content on the School website, app and systems

Assist with scheduling posts and basic updates across social media platforms

The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications and/or Public Relations (highly desirable) or equivalent experience
- Advanced ICT skills including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, website CMS platforms and social media tools
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A warm, professional manner and the ability to build positive relationships
- A willingness to support and model the Anglican ethos and values of the School
